The Welsh Corgi: Small Dog, Big Personality

If you've ever met a Welsh Corgi, you've probably thought the same thing as everyone else: "How can such a short-legged dog have so much confidence?"

The Welsh Corgi is a dog breed native to Wales that comes in two varieties: the Welsh Corgi Pembroke and the Welsh Corgi Cardigan. At first glance, they look very similar, but a few details distinguish them. The Cardigan has a long, fox-like tail, while the Pembroke generally has a slightly more compact build.

Don't be fooled by their short legs. The Corgi is a true herding dog. Intelligent, lively, and sometimes a little stubborn, they love to be part of family life. They learn quickly, love to play, and often have their own sense of humor. Some owners even claim they live with a clown disguised as a dog.

Corgis need regular exercise to stay in shape. Walks, scent games, and dog training activities are perfect for stimulating their body and mind.

However, be careful with their backs. Like many dogs with elongated bodies, it's best to avoid repeated jumping or excessive stairs.
